So you want to go to Bali…
Bali has always been a dream destination for me and my aunt. From a young age, she would tell me about all of her past travels and how Bali was next on her list. Fortunately, she promised to wait until I was old enough to join her so we could embark on this journey together — to practice yoga, get massages, visit the temples and immerse ourselves in the culture and beauty of Bali. When I decided to study abroad in Singapore, we realized that this was the perfect opportunity to go! We knew that we wanted to stay in Ubud as it was frequently recommended by our family and friends.
Located in the uplands of Bali, Ubud is renowned for its abundant cultural richness, natural beauty and tourist attractions. It is surrounded by breathtaking rice paddies, rainforests and filled with Temples and Shrines, with many opportunities to learn about local art, wood carvings, batik fabric, and silver jewelry. Offering a wide variety of accommodation, from luxury resorts to budget hostels, Ubud caters to all types of travelers, making it a must-see destination. We dedicated a considerable amount of time picking the right accommodation, focusing on location, service, food, and wellness opportunities. After much research, we confidently booked our stay at Uma Kalai.
